I smiled about your one precious coffee, I too have one coffee each morning. I save that beautiful ritual until I’ve got myself ready for the day and the bed made. Then I always sit down to really enjoy every sip. Oh I wish I could be a person that had more but even two leaves me jangly for hours.

I know, it's hard to believe I used to once have 4 or more coffees! Likewise more than one now and it's utter bedlum! 😆 A similar ritual for me, usually my second breakfast after everyone else has cleared off. Thank you xx

So true about that refocusing on stillness and the experience of your senses! I had a crap Saturday afternoon where after a day of pain I ended up going to bed for what was supposed to be a rejuvenating nap, but ended up in fitful dozing. I got up grumpy, and even though it wasn’t super cold, I just felt the need to light a fire. The concentration on all the steps of building it, then the pleasure of watching it catch and start blazing, completely turned my mood around and I had a really good evening. I really hope your tooth isn’t too painful or expensive to fix 😕

It is true isn't it?! Even when we can't make it outside to nature, concentrating on a very tactile task helps. As you say lighting the fire, which I like to think an almost primal one, but also perhaps baking something simple or watering indoor plants, a calming effect really does come over us.

I hope you can find something to help manage your pain better love, it's crazy frustrating when you need a rest, but the mind or body health has other ideas. Thankfully my tooth isn't at all painful, I'm just a bit nervous about it and eating, soft foods for a bit I think! Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment xx
