About me

Hello I'm Bron - the Imbolc Lioness

I'm a Leo Sun and Aries Moon, so I'm one hellavella firey witch! With most likely a Taurus ascension?

I'm a recovering food stylist, photographer and food blogger - http://bronmarshall.com I've had a web presence and shared my recipes online on and off through various platforms since 1998. I'm "Mum" to three, two grown and a late comer still in single digits at least for a few more months. My sweet and I have been together for 26 years. My current familiars are two blue point (devil) birmans inside, and a possy of feral strays outside.

I love honouring the different seasons and sabbats based on ancient Pagan, Germanic and Celtic holy days. Clearly Imbolc is my favourite. Yule & Ostara second equal.

Cooking and sharing food is my love language. My favourite ingredients to cook with are ones I've either grown myself, foraged or otherwise scored for free.

Naturally therefore my favourite foods are seasonal, fruit, berries, nuts, tomatoes, goats cheese - yes cheese and milk are traditionally seasonal too!

Baking bread, especially sourdough brings me much joy. I think it's the ultimate magical spell turning salt, water and flour into something so delicious and always slightly unique. My other food weakness is pasta. A bowl of Cacio e Pepe and I'm anybody's!

If I'm not foraging, growing or cooking food, you might find me fluffing with flowers. Sourcing mostly from my own garden or foraged bits as I don't agree with the energy waste to grow out of season.

I adore the aesthetics of Japanese gardens, moss, maples & cherry blossoms.

I'm an advocate for gardening by the moon, taking advantage of it's powerful lunar force to enhance the health and potential of our gardens.

I also find gardening by the moon phases extremely helpful to compartmentalize if you like, different tasks in the garden. It helps me, somewhat at least, whilst not always, from being completely overwhelmed at the sheer number of jobs and endless possibilities. I want to grow everything, I want to do it all!!

Gardening by the moon ironically, might keep me grounded.

My substack is where I share seasonal notes on manifesting this joyful abundance and creative blessings.

I believe through observing nature and connection with the seasons, the people and world around us, we can nuture a more joyful lived experience. An abundance of health for ourselves and all of earths living things. Blessings of creativity and celebration to fill our hearts and minds. Showing the true meaning of wealth is not a measure of dollars and cents, but one of vitality, health and happiness.

I share my observations, hygge highlights, seasonal recipes, reviews, prompts and inspirations from the Waimakariri district in Aotearoa, New Zealand, each month with the new moon.

I really want to thank you for joining me!

Seasons blessings 💫
